{"id":295684,"date":"2026-02-13T08:23:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T08:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/295684\/"},"modified":"2026-02-13T08:23:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T08:23:07","slug":"flooding-reported-as-warning-in-place-for-dublin-wicklow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/295684\/","title":{"rendered":"Flooding reported as warning in place for Dublin, Wicklow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Flooding has been reported in several areas of north Dublin, with a Status Yellow rain warning in place for the capital and Wicklow, ahead of a low temperature warning for the country overnight.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists are being urged to drive with care as flooding has been reported in Santry, Rush and parts of the M1.<\/p>\n<p>Parts of the R108 close to Dublin Airport are closed due to flooding.<\/p>\n<p>Flooding has also been reported in parts of Swords.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for Fingal County Council said they are receiving reports of spot flooding and the council is assessing the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Dublin Bus has announced diversions on four of its routes this morning &#8211; the 16, 33, 41 and 41C &#8211; due to flooding.<\/p>\n<p>It said that due to flooding at Collinstown, those routes will divert at Coolock Lane on to the M1 to Dublin Airport.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/DBSvcUpdates\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#DBSvcUpdates<\/a> We wish to advise customers of the following diversions to routes 16, 33, 41 and 41C <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/114MUETh9C\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/t.co\/114MUETh9C<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TFIupdates\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@TFIupdates<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/9ECw3TrVwq\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/9ECw3TrVwq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 dublinbusnews (@dublinbusnews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dublinbusnews\/status\/2022216927620612519\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">February 13, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A Status Yellow rain alert for Dublin and Wicklow is in effect until midday, with Met \u00c9ireann warning of further spells of &#8220;heavy rain&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"A flooded road following heavy rain\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/0023e366-614.jpg\"\/><br \/>\nFlooding at Beau Hill between Rush and Lusk in Co Dublin<\/p>\n<p>The forecaster also warned temperatures are expected to fall to between -1C and -3C generally across the country overnight, with sharp frost and icy conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The low temperature warning will be in effect from 9pm until 10am tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Dublin Airport is advising people travelling to the airport this morning to take care as some roads are closed due to flooding, following heavy rain overnight.<\/p>\n<p>It said that flight operations were running as normal.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">Due to heavy rainfall overnight, some roads leading to Dublin Airport are closed or trickier than usual to navigate this morning.
