While she doesn\u2019t name names, her comments have set off a firestorm, as they come on the heels of the drama involving fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, her husband, David, and their son Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

\u201cVictoria took it as judgment \u2014 public judgment \u2014 during one of the most painful moments of her life,\u201d a source tells<\/a> National Enquirer columnist Rob Shuter. \u201cShe is livid.\u201d<\/p>\n

As readers know, Brooklyn, 26, accused his mother, 51, and David, 50, of staging \u201cperformative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships.\u201d He also claimed they placed \u201ccountless lies\u201d in the media \u201cto preserve\u201d their own reputations at the expense of \u201cinnocent people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat Mel said may be true, but it absolutely did not need to be said right now,\u201d another insider tells Shuter.<\/p>\n

And the pop star turned fashion designer is not the forgive-and-forget type.<\/p>\n

\u201cVictoria holds grudges,\u201d a source says. \u201cThis didn\u2019t just hurt her personally \u2014 it embarrassed her professionally.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe feels Mel chose honesty over loyalty,\u201d another insider tells Shuter. \u201cAnd that\u2019s not something Victoria lets go of easily.\u201d<\/p>\n

But insiders insist Mel, aka Sporty Spice, 52, was speaking from personal experience and wasn\u2019t throwing shade at Victoria.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer intentions weren\u2019t malicious,\u201d a source shares. \u201cBut intention doesn\u2019t matter when the impact is this explosive.\u201d<\/p>\n

In any case, Victoria is taking it as a terrible betrayal, even though Mel and their other bandmates rallied around Posh after Brooklyn released his bombshell statement on Jan. 19. \u201cThey hated seeing her hurt,\u201d a source says.<\/p>\n

But they also saw it as an opportunity to lure Posh back to the stage for a Spice Girls reunion, noting it could quickly shift the focus from her family drama.<\/p>\n

Now it seems Mel\u2019s remarks may have derailed plans for a tour, which was in the very early planning stages.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny hope of a reunion tour is basically frozen,\u201d a source confirms to Shuter.<\/p>\n
