Foo Fighters<\/a> have updated their website to feature snippets of new songs, likely from a forthcoming album.<\/p>\n

Dave Grohl<\/a> and co. have been dropping hints about the follow-up to 2023\u2019s \u2018But Here We Are<\/a>\u2018, in recent months \u2013 both declaring that a new album is finished<\/a>, and subsequently dropping teasers<\/a> with fans online.<\/p>\n

Now, it appears that the official announcement is drawing close, as the band have updated their official website<\/a> and made it into an interactive page filled with snippets of new material.<\/p>\n

For fans visiting the site, the new homepage is designed to look like a music-lover\u2019s bedroom, with a guitar in the corner, piles of dirty clothes on the floor, stacks of CDs, and countless photographs and posters of Foo Fighters.<\/p>\n

When clicking on the various photos, many of which play a 10-second clip of currently-unreleased songs. At time of writing, there are a total of 11 different previews on offer.<\/p>\n

On the picture of guitarist Pat Smear, an intense, punk-tinged riff plays, and a similar sense of energy is also heard in the clip behind the picture of bassist Nate Mendel.<\/p>\n

For the photo of Grohl, a heavy, fast-paced track is heard briefly, which has flourishes of synth elements. Just two tracks contain previews of new vocals, with one of which seeing the line \u201cTurn the cameras off\u201d repeated, and the other showing Grohl saying \u201cLately I Don\u2019t hear the sound\u201d.<\/p>\n

Some fans on Reddit have also suspected that the clip behind the photo of Ilan Rubin \u2013 who recently joined as drummer<\/a> \u2013 is them reusing the riff for the 2021 song \u2018Cloudspotter\u2019. Check out the site for yourself here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Online, fans have been discussing the sound, and one person on Reddit suggested that the overall sound of the album will likely be more IYH [\u2018In Your Honour] vibes than WL [\u2018Wasting Light\u2019 based on the snippets alone.<\/p>\n

Another said that the previews led to them thinking the new material will be \u201c100 per cent not anything like the past four albums\u201d, while a third chimed in: \u201cWebsite is cool, reminds me of the old days of the cryptic marketing. I like most of the clips and it seems like the album will have a cool sound\u201d.<\/p>\n

The website update comes following Grohl going viral recently after being spotted in the crowd at the LX Super Bowl<\/a> \u2013 and fans calling for Foo Fighters to headline the next halftime show as a result.<\/p>\n

As aforementioned, their latest album was\u00a0 \u2018But Here We Are<\/a>\u2018, which was released in 2023 and came as a mournful farewell to their longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins<\/a>, who died in March 2022 aged 50<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since then, the band have released \u2018Today\u2019s Song\u2019 in honour of their 30th anniversary as a band<\/a>, and then shared \u2018Asking For A Friend\u2019 as their most recent single.<\/p>\n

Foo Fighters also released a new live album capturing their recent run of intimate club shows<\/a>, titled \u2018Are Playing Where??? Vol. I\u2019, and recently played their first show of the year<\/a> without Pat Smear<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ll play in the UK and Europe this summer, with the schedule including festival appearances at Mad Cool<\/a>, Pinkpop<\/a> and more, as well as two giant headline slots at Liverpool FC\u2019s Anfield Stadium<\/a>.
