<\/p>\nMet \u00c9ireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford on Friday, valid from 2pm on Friday until midnight. <\/p>\n
Rainfall will become more widespread on Saturday, when a Status Yellow rain warning will come into affect in counties Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford. This second rain warning will be valid from midnight on Saturday until midnight on Sunday. <\/p>\n
The national forecaster has warned of spells of heavy rain, heaviest in the east and southeast.<\/p>\n
Possible impacts may include localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling.<\/p>\n
Tonight will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, mainly in Munster, Leinster and east Ulster. Some western and northern areas will be mainly dry, with some hill and coastal fog too. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees with moderate southwest winds.<\/p>\n
On Friday morning spells of rain and drizzle will mostly clear eastwards, but will linger in the southeast with heavy falls at times. Elsewhere will become mostly dry from the early afternoon with bright or sunny spells at times.<\/p>\n
Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with mostly light to moderate southwest winds.<\/p>\n
The weekend brings the potential for some unsettled wet and possibly windy conditions, especially to the south and east, but with the possibility for those conditions to be more widespread.<\/p>\n
It’s going to turn much cooler over the weekend. Current indications are for a much improved weather picture for the early days of next week, with high pressure building in from the west, though it’s going to continue cool.<\/p>\n

The area of low pressure to our south will continue to dominate our weather on Saturday. There’ll be some heavy spells of rain, particularly in the south and east. While it may hold mainly dry elsewhere, there is the possibility of more widespread heavy, possibly thundery, rain.<\/p>\n
Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees on Saturday.<\/p>\n
On Sunday morning, it’s likely to be still be wet and blustery in the east at first, though the rain should clear eastwards through the morning. Otherwise it’s going to be a cool, breezy day, with sunshine and a scattering of showers.<\/p>\n
