A woman has been arrested after a suitcase containing over \u20ac275,000 cash was found in a car in south Dublin today.<\/p>\n

The seizure is part of ongoing investigations targeting an organised crime group involved in drug trafficking and money laundering in the Dublin<\/a> area and was led by the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT).<\/p>\n

During today’s operation, a car was intercepted and stopped in the Ballsbridge area of Dublin 4. Inside the vehicle a suitcase containing \u20ac275,000 in cash was discovered.<\/p>\n

The car\u2019s sole occupant, a woman in her 30s, was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda<\/a> station in Dublin.<\/p>\n

A garda spokesperson said: “Investigations are ongoing and further updates will follow.”<\/p>\n
