The third episode of the popular dating show aired on Thursday night and saw 24-year-old Mikey, a HGV mechanic from Gweedore was paired with Molly, an airline check in agent from Coolock in Dublin.<\/p>\n
The show started with Molly confessing her dream match would be Zac Efron while Mikey said he is interested in a \u201cclassical relationship\u201d after being left frustrated with modern day dating.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you see like a husband and wife and a song comes on, it brings them back and I think that\u2019s where I get it from, I am looking for a relationship from the 80s or 90s.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s girls I met in Galway or Donegal and they be chatting to you but they carry themselves like they are not interested.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey tell you a day or two after that they were interested and you wouldn\u2019t have a clue; I am so bad at seeing it,\u201d said Mikey.<\/p>\n
The pair seemed to hit it off straight away as they traded stories about previous dates, their childhood and their lives now.<\/p>\n

Molly, an airline check in agent from Dublin. <\/p>\n
Molly explained she works in Dublin Airport and grew up in Spain.<\/p>\n
Mikey, originally from Donegal, explained he previously lived in Dublin but now resides in Galway where he works as a HGV mechanic.<\/p>\n
As the conversation flowed, Molly picked up Mikey\u2019s Donegal accent and said \u201cI love it.<\/p>\n
\u201cI really like your accent. It is really nice,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Mikey confessed he almost forgot the show was on until the previous morning, while Molly confessed she was so nervous she could hardly sleep.<\/p>\n
After Molly asked about his career, Mikey explained he left school before completing his final year at the age of 17.<\/p>\n
He then started a car apprenticeship having \u201cnever touched a car\u201d in his life.<\/p>\n
\u201cI ended up in the top six in Ireland for mechanicing\u201d<\/p>\n
Molly joked he was a \u201cregular Bob the Builder.\u201d<\/p>\n
She explained she had once went on a date with a man who put a football match on his phone and said he wanted to watch the end of the match.<\/p>\n
As the date went on, the pair bonded over their desire to visit Nashville.<\/p>\n
\u201cNashville is my dream location, you don\u2019t even understand,\u201d said Molly.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would sell my family to go to Nashville. I love country music, cowboy boots. It\u2019s like country Temple Bar,\u201d added Molly.<\/p>\n

Discussing their school days, Molly explained she visited the bog while Mikey went to Croke Park and Kilmainham Gaol.<\/p>\n
Molly confessed her nerves had eventually left her and felt the date was going well.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going grand,\u201d said Mikey.<\/p>\n
Mikey explained there was no awkwardness, while during an escape to the bathroom, Molly rang her friend and said she could not tell what Mikey was thinking.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am really embarrassed to say it is going good in case he doesn\u2019t think it is going good,\u201d said Molly.<\/p>\n
With the first date coming to an end, the pair both agreed that the would both like to see each other again.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think she is spectacular,\u201d said Mikey while Molly confessed it was Mikey\u2019s accent and his desire to visit Nashville that sealed the deal for her.<\/p>\n
However, after a night out after the date, their relationship failed to blossom further due to the distance between Galway and Dublin.<\/p>\n
\u201cUltimately their magnetism was no match for the distance,\u201d said producers.<\/p>\n
This is the 11th season of the popular programme which is filmed in the Gibson Hotel, Dublin and aired on RT\u00c92.<\/p>\n
On hand as always with words of encouragement and support throughout the dates are Maitre D\u2019 Mateo, servers Alice and Pete and Neil behind the bar.<\/p>\n
