Harry Styles<\/a> has looked back on his time in One Direction<\/a>, saying he felt \u201cvery alone\u201d after the band broke up and he went solo.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with The Sunday Times Magazine<\/a>, Styles shed light on his transition from boyband member to solo star. \u201cWhen you\u2019re in a band with four other people, there\u2019s so much room to hide,\u201d he said of former bandmates Niall Horan<\/a>, Zayn Malik<\/a>, Louis Tomlinson<\/a> and the late Liam Payne<\/a>, who disbanded in 2015.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s only ever so much weight that\u2019s on your shoulders. The first couple of times on stage [without One Direction], I\u2019d think, \u2018What do I do with my hands?\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I also felt very alone all of a sudden,\u201d he continued. \u201cI was lucky to have the opportunity where people were interested in what I was going to make, but I put a lot of that pressure on myself, wanting it to be correct.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the release of his debut self-titled solo album in 2017, Styles went on to say he\u2019d wanted to be more experimental, but worried about disappointing people.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith that first album, I was trying to explore what music I would make by myself, but in that moment I felt there were a lot of people who had put faith in me and I didn\u2019t want to disappoint people or let them down,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

It comes ahead of\u00a0Styles sharing his fourth solo effort in \u2018Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally<\/a>\u2019. Set to arrive on March 6, earlier this week, Styles revealed that some fans will have a chance to hear it ahead of its release with a series of listening parties<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fans across 40 cities will be given the chance to listen to new material, including his latest single \u2018Aperture\u2019<\/a>, which\u00a0features Wolf Alice\u2019s Ellie Rowsell<\/a>\u00a0and was\u00a0inspired by LCD Soundsystem<\/a>. In a\u00a0review of the new track<\/a>,\u00a0NME\u00a0said it was \u201cStyles as we\u2019d not heard him before\u201d.<\/p>\n

Last month, Styles also\u00a0confirmed a huge, seven-city \u2018Together, Together\u2019 tour<\/a>, which includes a 12-night residency at London\u2019s Wembley Stadium and an impressive 30 dates at Madison Square Garden in New York City.<\/p>\n

When tickets went live for UK dates,\u00a0there were queues of up to 250,000 people for each of the shows.\u00a0<\/a>It has also been revealed that\u00a0Styles has broken several records at both Wembley and Madison Square Garden thanks to huge demand<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Wembley gigs will see the \u2018As It Was\u2019 singer\u00a0donate \u00a31 from every ticket sold to LIVE\u2019s levy<\/a>, helping to protect UK grassroots music venues and support emerging talent. After tickets went live, former bandmate Malik<\/a>\u00a0seemingly took a swipe at Styles by making a comment about ticket prices at a recent live show<\/a>. \u201cHopefully the ticket prices weren\u2019t too high \u2013 just saying!\u201d he grinned at his recent Vegas gig, before shrugging. \u201cAnyway!\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Many fans have interpreted the comment as a nod to\u00a0the conversations around the ticket prices for Styles\u2019 upcoming shows at Wembley Stadium<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s also\u00a0announced a \u201cone night only\u201d performance of the album at Manchester Co-Op Live Arena<\/a>, with tickets costing \u00a320.<\/p>\n
