Lisa McHugh has asked fans to keep her ‘little babies at home in your prayers’ as she continues to battle through her health woes. The country music star revealed that she feels ‘guilty’ for leaving them whilst she spends time in the hospital. <\/p>\n

The singer revealed last July that she has Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)<\/a> and has been very open about her recovery in the months since, sharing how she\u2019s had to learn how to walk again.<\/p>\n

She explained that while she has received good news, she can’t stop thinking about her two kids, Milo and Hallie, as they are too young to understand why she’s been away. <\/p>\n

‘It\u2019s been a tough week health-wise, but the hardest part of all has been the guilt. This is at least the 6th time in the last 18 months I\u2019ve had to suddenly disappear for days, sometimes weeks, without being able to explain anything to Milo,’ the proud mum penned. <\/p>\n

‘That part breaks my heart more than anything. Please keep my little babies at home in your prayers, too,’ she asked her fans on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the star explained that she will likely be returning home to her little ones soon, as she penned: ‘My body is finally responding well to the treatment \u2014 infection markers are coming down each day, and I\u2019m really hoping to be home soon.’<\/p>\n

While the singer has taken huge strides in her recovery since receiving an incurable diagnosis, she has now revealed she\u2019s suffered a setback.<\/p>\n

She had been planning to return to the stage recently, but has sadly had to cancel the appearance after being readmitted to the hospital.<\/p>\n

\u2018Hi everyone, I’m so sorry to say that I won’t be able to perform tonight with Nathan Carter at the Clanree Hotel, Letterkenny,\u2019 Lisa said in an update to her fans.<\/p>\n

She continued: \u2018I was admitted to hospital a couple of days ago with sepsis, but I want to reassure you all that I’m in the right place and receiving the best care and treatment to get things under control. I just need a little time to rest and recover, but I will be absolutely fine.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m so disappointed to miss what was meant to be my first live show back, but I’m sure you’ll all have a fantastic night with Nathan as always. I can’t wait to see you all very soon.<\/p>\n

\u2018Thank you for all your continued support and understanding – it truly means the world. Looks like my New Year is starting in March instead.\u2019<\/p>\n

Lisa\u2019s fans quickly sent their love to her and told her to mind herself while she\u2019s recovering from this setback.<\/p>\n

Another added, \u2018your health is your path to stage performance again you\u2019ll be back in full health and voice,\u2019 while a third said: \u2018Aw Lisa, So sorry to hear this, Wishing you a speedy recovery.\u2019<\/p>\n

In November, Lisa appeared on The Late Late Show to talk about her diagnosis<\/a> and said that she’d been blown away by the support she’s received.<\/p>\n

Talking about her diagnosis, Lisa told host Patrick Kielty: ‘It’s when they do all the examinations, they do all the bloods, they do the CTs, and the results come back normal, but your symptoms are very real, people have seizures, they have speech problems, they’ve tremors, they’ve weakness, which is what I have.<\/p>\n

‘I had never heard of it before. When I was diagnosed, I’d never heard of it at all, but since I have shared my story, the thousands of messages I have had from people to say that they’re going through something similar and they’ve been sent home and they’ve no help.<\/p>\n

‘They’ve nowhere to turn or what to do, and they’re really, really struggling. It’s mind-blowing the amount of people who are so ill.’<\/p>\n
