\n\tMiley Cyrus<\/a> is returning to her Disney roots, with the celebrated singer officially set to take part in the \u201cHannah Montana<\/a> 20th Anniversary Special\u201d on Disney+.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\u2018\u201cHannah Montana\u2019 will always be a part of who I am. What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I\u2019ll always be thankful for that connection,\u201d said Cyrus. \u201cThe fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I\u2019m very proud of. This \u2018Hannahversary\u2019 is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who\u2019ve stood by me for 20 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe special will debut on Disney+ <\/a>on March 24. It will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and will feature an interview with Cyrus hosted by Alex Cooper. Cyrus will revisit iconic moments from the show as well as never-before-seen footage and recreations of the show\u2019s sets. Disney also promises that \u201cThere will also be some familiar notes that find their way back into the spotlight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2018Hannah Montana\u2019 opened the door for so many fans to dream big, sing loud, and embrace every side of themselves, which is why its legacy continues to shine across generations,\u201d said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television. \u201cPartnering with Miley on this special is a dream, and we want it to be a love letter to the fans, who remain as passionate today as they were when the series debuted almost 20 years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHannah Montana\u201d launched Cyrus to stardom when it originally debuted in 2006. The show ultimately ran for four seasons on Disney Channel, during which time it earned four Emmy nominations for outstanding children\u2019s program. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe show and its characters have also been featured across a wide range of merchandise and video games.
