\n\tBruce Springsteen and the E Street Band<\/a> have announced the 20-date \u2018Land of Hope and Dreams\u2019 tour, which will make its way across America this spring.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe tour dates, which apparently leaked in advance of the announcement, will kick off on March 31 at Minneapolis\u2019 Target Center. Springsteen and co. will continue across America with shows in Austin, Atlanta and New York City, where they\u2019ll perform at Madison Square Garden, before wrapping the tour at Washington, D.C.\u2019s Nationals Park.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the announcement on Instagram, Springsteen explained that the tour is being staged \u201cin celebration and in defense of America,\u201d and welcomed all fans, regardless of political affiliation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBrothers and sisters, fans, friends and good folks from coast to coast, we are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times. But do not despair, the calvary is coming,\u201d said Springsteen. \u201cWe will be rocking your town in celebration and in defense of America, American democracy, American freedom, our American constitution and our sacred American dream. All of which are under attack by our wannabe king and his rogue government in Washington, D.C. Everyone, regardless of where you stand or what you believe in, is welcome. So come out and join the United Free Republic of E Street nation for an American spring of rock and rebellion. See you there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSpringsteen\u2019s tour comes in the wake of the release of the ICE protest song \u201cStreets of Minneapolis\u201d last month. The song was written in response to what he called \u201cthe state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis,\u201d which he dedicated to the city, \u201cour immigrant neighbors\u201d and in honor of the residents killed by ICE agents, Renee Good and Alex Pretti.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing the release of the song\u2019s music video, the Trump administration issued a response to \u201cStreets of Minneapolis,\u201d saying that the White House was not focused on \u201crandom songs with irrelevant opinions and inaccurate information.\u201d It\u2019s worth noting that Springsteen\u2019s tour poster includes the phrase \u201cNo Kings,\u201d the movement against Trump that is currently planning its third protest for March 28.<\/p>\n
