Rumer Willis<\/a> is clarifying her lifestyle.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old actress, who is a single mother to 2-year-old daughter Louetta, shared a video of herself, captioned \u201cSingle Moms Be Like,\u201d with various things written around her, including \u201clunch,\u201d \u201cmeal prepping\u201d and \u201cworking out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Evidently, she received some hate in the comments, as she reposted the Reel to her Story with the following caption.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust had to clarify since it seems there are quite a few uninformed and rude people in my comments on this post,\u201d she began.<\/p>\n

\u201cI work 4 different jobs to provide for my daughter. I am the sole provider for her. I don\u2019t live off a trust fund or get money from my parents. Most of the time I don\u2019t have help with her. So how about y\u2019all pause before you judge and assume.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rumer is the daughter of Demi Moore<\/a> and Bruce Willis<\/a>. She shares daughter Louetta with ex-boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She then responded to another comment, which claimed she has a \u201cback up plan\u201d because of her family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to respond to this with care, because I think there\u2019s a misunderstanding about what I was actually saying,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very aware that I have privileges in my life that many people don\u2019t, and I don\u2019t take that for granted. I know there are realities I will never fully experience, and I respect that. But this particular post wasn\u2019t about privilege or comparing circumstances, and it feels like people are assuming I was ignoring that when that wasn\u2019t the conversation I was trying to have.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t live my life treating family support as a backup plan. I take a lot of pride in providing for myself and for my daughter, and I\u2019ve carried real financial stress and responsibility. There were years where I was the sole provider for multiple people, navigating pregnancy, inconsistent work, and the uncertainty that comes with that. So the idea that I don\u2019t work or don\u2019t understand financial pressure isn\u2019t accurate,\u201d Rumer wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the same time, I think we can hold two truths at once. People\u2019s lives look different, and none of our experiences exist in a vacuum. Just like someone with a stable job and housing might still struggle in ways that are real to them, even if their situation is different from someone facing much more severe hardship elsewhere in the world, we all move through different layers of reality. Acknowledging that difference doesn\u2019t mean we can\u2019t also talk about what we share,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy intention with that post was to speak to common ground and shared experience, not to erase differences or deny reality. I think there\u2019s room for both compassion for what others face and honesty about our own lives without it becoming a competition.\u201d<\/p>\n
