Two former Rite Aid locations in Southwestern Pennsylvania will find new life in the coming months.<\/p>\n
The Rite Aid location in the Crafton-Ingram Shopping Center will become a new Goodwill retail store and the Rite Aid on Market Street in Elizabeth will become a new location for Steel Strong Community FCU.<\/p>\n
Goodwill tells KDKA Radio demolition at the former Rite Aid started a couple of weeks ago with plans to open the new thrift store in late-July\/August 2026.<\/p>\n
30 new jobs will be created with the opening of the Crafton-Ingram Goodwill.<\/p>\n
In Elizabeth, Steel Strong Federal Credit Union says renovation plans and an opening date will be announced later this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cSteel Strong plans to use the new location to serve individuals and families by offering a wide range of financial products and services, and personalized guidance designed to support financial well-being at every stage of life,\u201d the FCU tells KDKA Radio.<\/p>\n
Steel Strong is available to people who live, work, worship or attend schools in Elizabeth and Forward, as well as Braddock, Dravosburg, Jefferson Hills, Lincoln, North Braddock, West Mifflin and Clairton.<\/p>\n
Other shuttered Rite Aid locations around the Pittsburgh area have been converted into Giant Eagle Pharmacies and more.<\/p>\n
After declaring bankruptcy for a second time last spring, all Rite Aid locations across the country closed.<\/p>\n
