Carne, Belmullet and formerly of Glencalry, Belderrig, Ballina, Co. Mayo \u2013 peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of the I.C.U. of Sligo University Hospital surrounded by his loving family on 16th February 2026.<\/p>\n
Predeceased by his infant son James, parents John and Katie McDonnell, his brother Pauraic and his recently deceased nephew Eugene.<\/p>\n
Beloved husband of Ann, dear father of \u00c1ine, Amelia, Stephen, Eileen and Vinny and cherished grandfather to his adored grandchildren Daragh, Katie Mai, Ethan, Se\u00e1n, Rachel, David, Jessica, Mya and Emily. He will be sadly missed by his family, son in law David, daughters in law Karen and Niamh, sisters Maura and Caitl\u00edn, brothers in law Owen and Michael, sister in law Anne, nieces, nephews, former colleagues and students of St. Brendan\u2019s College, Belmullet, kind neighbours and many friends.<\/p>\n

Vincent will lie in repose at McDonnell\u2019s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Friday evening from 6 o\u2019clock until 8 o\u2019clock.<\/p>\n
Funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne on Saturday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery.<\/p>\n
