Jennifer Aniston<\/a> is wading into the wild and windy moors of Wuthering Heights<\/a> with a little help from Margot Robbie<\/a> and Jacob Elordi<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Friends<\/a> actress recently posted a throwback clip from the beloved \u201890s sitcom on Instagram<\/a> that featured her character Rachel and Lisa Kudrow<\/a>\u2019s Phoebe studying Emily Bront\u00eb\u2019s 1847 novel as part of a literature class.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The season 5 snippet shows Green arriving to the class late without having actually read the book, which leads her to ask Phoebe to fill her in on its complicated plot.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\u201cYou said you read it in high school,\u201d Phoebe remarks, to which Rachel replies, \u201cYeah, but then I remembered I started it and then there was the pep rally and I was, I was on top of the pyramid.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Phoebe, in turn, begins relaying the story to her. “It’s this tragic love story between Cathy and Heathcliff, and it takes place on these really creepy moors in England, which I think represent the wildness of Heathcliff’s character,\u201d she says. \u201cI totally get symbolism!\u201d\n<\/p>\n

And now, following the release of Emerald Fennell\u2019s newest film adaptation of the gothic classic starring Robbie and Elordi, Aniston joked that she doesn\u2019t have to pick up the book, either.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to Margot and Jacob, no reading required,\u201d she captioned her post.<\/p>\n

Robbie and Elordi star as Cathy and Heathcliff in the film, which chronicles the dramatic, obsessive, and\u00a0toxic relationship between the pair of pseudo-siblings.\n<\/p>\n

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Robbie revealed that she fell in love with the world of Wuthering Heights after reading Fennell\u2019s script<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“My first foray into the world of Cathy and Heathcliff was in her script, and then I went and read the book \u2014 and I’ve read it a few times now and adore it \u2014 and it’s just so incredible,” Robbie said. “But I connected with their relationship quite quickly, even though it did take me a little bit to find the character.”\n<\/p>\n

Elordi added that he felt he truly connected with Heathcliff the moment they began filming in the Yorkshire moors. (The ones Phoebe mentioned!)\u00a0<\/p>\n

“When we got out of the studio and into the moors, there’s a magic up there that Bront\u00eb captured in her book, and it did feel like we all breathed that air in and became the character in a way,” he explained. “Including the crew…It was those moments that felt like connecting to the script.”\n<\/p>\n

Still, Aniston may not want to skip Bront\u00eb’s book if she wants to have the complete Wuthering Heights experience. Fennell’s film chronicles only the first half of the novel, with several characters omitted and plot points changed along the way.\n<\/p>\n

Fennell told EW that it became clear to her early in the filmmaking process that she \u201cwanted to make something that was my response and interpretation to that book and to the feeling<\/a>\u201d of Wuthering Heights rather than a direct retelling.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

“It was funny, you know, I think the things that I remembered were both real and not real,” she said of the book. “So there was a certain amount of wish fulfillment in there, and there were whole characters that I’d sort of forgotten or consolidated.”\n<\/p>\n

That being said, she’d love the chance to adapt both sections of the novel into a television series. “I think, really, I would do a mini series and encompass the whole thing over 10 hours, and it would be beautiful,” she said. “But if you’re making a movie, and you’ve got to be fairly tight, you’ve got to make those kinds of hard decisions.”<\/p>\n
