(stock image)<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom0 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">A Tipperary man who died in a tragic road accident on Thursday evening this week has been named locally as Paddy Kinane.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Garda\u00ed and emergency services attended the scene of the fatal incident near Tipperary town that occurred on the L8109 road at Ardloman, Co. Tipperary, on Thursday, February 19, confirmed a garda spokesperson on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">The incident occurred at about 2.35pm and a male, aged in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">It\u2019s understood Mr Kinane fell at a ditch as he was watching local works, and was involved in an accident with a lorry. It\u2019s believed he died instantly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">\u201cIt\u2019s very sad,\u201d said Cllr John O\u2019Heney. \u201cIt is an awful tragedy. How easy an incident like that can occur. It\u2019s awful tragic for the area.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Mr Kinane was held in high esteem and was widely respected in the community.  He was known as a quiet bachelor and formerly lived nearby with his mother.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">His funeral arrangements have not yet been publicised.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Garda sources say there have been no other injuries reported and that the scene has been technically examined. The Health and Safety Authority and the coroner have been notified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) said they are aware of the fatal incident and have launched an investigation. \u201cAs such, no further information is available at this time,\u201d added the spokesperson.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"LATEST\u00a0|\u00a0 Garda\u00ed attended the incident.
