ITV Racing is back Saturday with action from all over the place, including Kempton, Lingfield, Newcastle, and Firehouse, starting here with a handicap hurdle over 2m5f. This looks pretty open.<\/p>\n FASOL has never lived up to his Flat form over hurdles, but he\u2019s been pretty consistent this season and ran a cracker last time when fifth in the Lanzarote. He\u2019s not a strong stayer at this trip but will travel well for much of the race and has a decent chance of hitting the frame at the very least. Each-way claims for Paul Nicholls and Olive Nicholls who takes off 5lb.<\/p>\n On the Flat, ITV show this Listed sprinter over 5f. I\u2019m off to Lingfield on Saturday, and I can\u2019t wait. Just six in here, and DEMOCRACY DILEMMA is interesting as he ran well here in his younger days, including when second in a big field handicap.<\/p>\n He nearly made all that day and would have had a big chance in Meydan the other day, but he was withdrawn at the start. I suspect he will be fit enough, considering he was being lined up for Dubai, and he might prove hard to catch. Tom Marquand rides for Rober Cowell.<\/p>\n Up in class now for the Grade 2 Adonis Juvenile Hurdle over 2m. It will be no surprise if Fantasy World is much better than he looked at Musselburgh, but he\u2019ll have to be pretty good to land this, and One Horse Town should give the lead PRECIOUS MAN loves, and I expect him to score for Dan and Harry Skelton.<\/p>\n My selection was beaten by One Horse Town at Cheltenham in November, but he\u2019s 5lb better off and, probably more importantly, had a wind operation after that race. He looked much better when hacking up here last time under a 10lb penalty.<\/p>\n The Group 3 Winter Derby over 1m2f. Huge chance for Cambridgeshire winner BOILING POINT to pop out and make all for the in-form Karl Burke and Sam James. This trip should not be an issue as he goes this far for the first time, and he\u2019s lightly raced, so he may well have more to come. Chancellor will be tough to beat, but I expect a massive run from Boiling Point.<\/p>\n Another Grade 2 in the Pendil Novices\u2019 Chase over an extended 2m4f. JAX JUNIOR is another who seems to have benefited from a wind operation and now has his second run after one following a fine victory at Sandown last time. That was over less than 2m, but he has form at this trip and has always promised to be a decent horse. On ratings, he\u2019s the best in here by far, and you could argue that he should be shorter in the market. Tom Cannon rides for Lucy Wadham.<\/p>\n One from Newcastle on ITV, which is the Eider Handicap Chase over an extended 4m 1f. A wide-open heat. VAL DANCER is interesting each-way for Charlie Hammond and Mel Rowley. The former Welsh National winner went up to a mark of 138 after his Chepstow success, but he\u2019s down to 129 here and ran fairly well at Lingfield last time. He might be coming right just when he needs to for this. Looks like a high price to me.<\/p>\n The Grade 2 Dovecote Novices\u2019 Hurdle over 2m. DOUBLE MEASURE should be bang in the mix for Dan and Harry Skelton. He was outclassed in a Grade 2 at Haydock in November, but back down in grade hacked up at Huntingdon last time in a big field. He stays this trip well and in an open event has each-way claims at the very least.<\/p>\n One from Ireland on ITV in the Grade 3 Bobbyjo Chase over 3m2f. This race is worth a look as far as the Grand National is concerned. STELLAR STORY is not well handicapped, but he does get blinkers on for the first time, and if that just wakes him up a little, he might have each-way claims for Gordon Elliott and Danny Gilligan.<\/p>\n Once finished second to the re-opposing Lecky Watson in the Brown Advisory at Cheltenham and beat Gold Cup hope The Jukebox Man in the Albert Bartlett Novices\u2019 Hurdle. He\u2019s not a bad horse on his day.<\/p>\n The big betting race of the day for many in a handicap chase over 3m. Defending champion Katate Dori is up 11lb here from 12 months ago, and that might stop him. I want to give DEEP CAVE another chance for Christian Williams and jockey Jack Tudor. My selection did well to win at Bangor and Ascot this season before a fifth at Doncaster seemed to suggest he was done with, for the time being.<\/p>\n However, a mistake at the fifth didn\u2019t help that day, and he wasn\u2019t fluent at the 12th as well. Ultimately, he ran all right in the end, and if he jumps better here, I think he can get right in the mix. An each-way chance.<\/p>\n So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas.
