Thomasin explains, \u201cThese days, we see influencers on social media and stuff happens quickly for them. People are overnight successes thanks to things going viral \u2013 it\u2019s all so fast. But it\u2019s important to realise we\u2019re all on our own timelines. Have patience and don\u2019t rush things.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a tactic that\u2019s worked for Thomasin. In her new film Fackham Hall \u2013 a spoof that crosses \u201cDownton Abbey with Flying High and Monty Python\u201d \u2013 she stars opposite Tom Felton, best known for portraying Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m a big Harry Potter fan,\u201d she smiles. \u201cI always wished I could inhabit that world. I wanted to be Luna Lovegood so I could go off with the witches and dragons. Tom\u2019s a dream. He\u2019s a wonderful person with a heart of gold.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thomasin was reading the Fackham Hall script, co-written by comedian Jimmy Carr, on a flight to Greece when she found herself in such hysterics, she decided she couldn\u2019t turn down the role of heiress Rose Davenport, who forges a forbidden romance with one of her family\u2019s staff.<\/p>\n
Filming in the UK at opulent mansion Knowsley Hall helped her get into character. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt was fantastic to get a sense of what it might have been like to be in an aristocratic family \u2013 and when you\u2019re doing an upper-class British accent, you immediately feel pompous!\u201d she shares.<\/p>\n
Although Thomasin\u2019s known for nailing accents, she says they\u2019re more intimidating now that she\u2019s set a precedent for perfecting them. She was also self-conscious about \u201cwhether I\u2019m funny or not\u201d while filming the comedy and as the lead role, felt additional pressure to ensure the cast was happy. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf I\u2019m higher up on the call sheet, establishing a healthy energy on set is something I always strive to do,\u201d she tells.<\/p>\n
As well as Fackham Hall, she\u2019s starring with Amanda Seyfried in The Testament Of Ann Lee and is gearing up for her greatest role yet, playing screen icon Audrey Hepburn in the upcoming film Dinner With Audrey. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m still wrapping my head around that!\u201d she marvels. \u201cIt\u2019s the biggest role and challenge I\u2019ve taken on, so I\u2019m nervous but excited.\u201d<\/p>\n
With so much happening in her career, Thomasin is grateful for the support of her boyfriend Benjamin Sarikaya. <\/p>\n

She smiles, \u201cWe\u2019re lucky he\u2019s able to work remotely, so we\u2019ve been able to go on cool adventures. He\u2019s also a great photographer, so whenever I have events, that\u2019s handy!\u201d<\/p>\n
