Garda\u00ed have identified a man who was seriously assaulted in Temple Bar in Dublin in the early hours of Wednesday morning following a public appeal.<\/p>\n
Two men, who are aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested last night and are being questioned at separate garda stations in Dublin.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed had released an image of a tattoo he has on his right forearm as part of their appeal to identify the victim.<\/p>\n
They said in an update this afternoon that he had now been identified.<\/p>\n
The man remains in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital.<\/p>\n
He was attacked by two men on Cope Street shortly after arriving there on an e-scooter at around 12.30am on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
He was punched, kicked and hit a number of times with the e-scooter after it was taken from him.<\/p>\n
His assailants left him unconscious on the ground, but then returned a short time later and attacked him again, breaking his arm.<\/p>\n
