President<\/a>\u00a0have announced they have signed with Atlantic Records, sharing their new emotional single \u2018Angel Wings\u2019.<\/p>\n

The masked metal band had a breakout year in 2025,\u00a0appearing on the bill at Download Festival without anybody knowing their identity<\/a>, and releasing their debut EP \u2018King Of Terrors\u2019.<\/p>\n

The mystery\u00a0has\u00a0persisted about who the band\u2019s members\u00a0are, with\u00a0some convinced that they are fronted by Charlie Simpson of Busted and Fightstar fame<\/a>,\u00a0and others\u00a0believing they might share members with Sleep Token<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, the band have revealed they have signed with Atlantic Records and have launched their \u201cnew term\u201d with the single \u2018Angel Wings\u2019, an anthemic, riff-heavy track that sees the anonymous frontman showing off his raw, emotional range.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Angel\u00a0Wings\u2019\u00a0reflects a search for spiritual redemption and the resolve to begin again,\u201d he has said in a statement. \u201cIt marks the opening of a new chapter. At its core, the song speaks to holding close those who matter most, while\u00a0remaining\u00a0unmoved by detractors.\u201d<\/p>\n

President have also been accused of being \u201cindustry plants\u201d,\u00a0something they have strongly rejected,\u00a0arguing that they \u201ccouldn\u2019t have planned a harder way\u201d to get their name out there<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NME\u00a0caught President when they played at The Garage last summer, and gave their set a\u00a0three-star review<\/a>, describing it as \u201ctriumphant debut headline show\u201d but needing \u201cmore songs to sustain their hype\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter just six songs (there\u2019s no outing for \u2018Conclave\u2019 from forthcoming debut EP \u2018King Of Terrors\u2019) and 30 minutes, some of the euphoria does fall off a cliff,\u201d it read. \u201cBy announcing more headline dates only for 2026, President have perhaps bought themselves the time they need to flesh out their live show with more material. This assertive debut performance, nevertheless, has secured them our vote.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band will now play a \u2018Campaign Trail\u2019 UK and Ireland tour<\/a>, kicking off in Dublin on April 12 and concluding at London\u2019s O2 Forum Kentish Town on April 21.
