Seven people have died following road traffic incidents in counties Armagh<\/a>, Meath<\/a>, Waterford<\/a> and Galway<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI)<\/a> confirmed that three people were killed in a crash in the Armagh Road area of Moy after 10pm.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt around 10.20pm, Police received a report of a three-vehicle collision involving a red BMW, a grey Volkswagen and a white Audi,\u201d Assistant Chief Constable Davy Beck said in a statement on Sunday afternoon. <\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers attended, along with colleagues from other emergency services, however, two men, aged 31 and 48, and a woman, aged 23, were sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

Four other people were injured in the crash, with three of them still being treated on Sunday. The Armagh Road in Moy remained closed on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The PSNI appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident or with dashcam footage that could assist the investigation to come forward. <\/p>\n

SDLP Armagh councillor Thomas O\u2019Hanlon said three families and \u201ctheir wider communities have been plunged into deep grief\u201d following the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are truly no words that can ease such pain, other than to offer our thoughts and prayers at this incredibly difficult time,\u201d he said in a statement. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a teenage girl has died after a suspected hit-and-run on the Slane Road in Navan, Co Meath. <\/p>\n

An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na<\/a> said officers were called to a stretch of the N51 at around 8.20pm on Saturday where a pedestrian had been seriously injured by a car that failed to remain at the scene. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe pedestrian, a 16-year-old female, was treated at the scene before being transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where she was later pronounced deceased,\u201d the force said in a statement.<\/p>\n

A man in his 20s was later arrested in connection with the incident and a car was seized by garda\u00ed to undergo technical and forensic examinations. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in the Eastern Region,\u201d the Garda said in a statement. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe scene remains preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local traffic diversions are in place.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or with camera footage that could assist the investigation, is asked to contact Navan Garda station on (046) 9036100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.<\/p>\n

Separately, a woman in her 80s died following a single vehicle crash at Eyrecourt in Co Galway on Saturday night. <\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed and emergency services responded to an incident at Rooaun at about 8.15pm. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe driver and sole occupant of the car, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later,\u201d the force said. <\/p>\n

\u201cHer body was brought to the mortuary at Portiuncula Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anyone who was travelling in the area between 7.30pm and 8.30pm and who may have camera footage is asked to contact Loughrea Garda station on (091) 842870, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.<\/p>\n

Earlier, two people were killed in a collision in Co Waterford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The man and a woman, both in their 40s, were fatally injured when their car and a van collided at around midday on the Tramore Road.<\/p>\n

An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na<\/a> said they were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the R675 road at Robin Hill. <\/p>\n

A man (50s) and a juvenile male who were travelling in the van were brought to University Hospital Waterford to be treated for non life threatening injuries. <\/p>\n
