{"id":312170,"date":"2026-02-23T00:34:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T00:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/312170\/"},"modified":"2026-02-23T00:34:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T00:34:09","slug":"company-fined-for-selling-whiskey-at-limerick-pub-while-trading-without-a-licence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/312170\/","title":{"rendered":"Company fined for selling whiskey at Limerick pub while trading without a licence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A COMPANY has been fined for selling alcohol at a pub in Limerick city centre despite not having a valid licence to to so at the time.<\/p>\n<p>The Wickham Pub Company Ltd was prosecuted before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/section\/463\/crime-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Limerick District Court<\/a> arising from a Revenue detection last summer.<\/p>\n<p>Solicitor Aileen Mee, prosecuting, told Judge Peter White the case related to the Wickham Bar, Wickham Street which was &#8216;trading without a licence&#8217; when the inspection was carried out.<\/p>\n<p>After a director of the company confirmed a guilty plea was being entered, she proceeded to outline the facts of the case.<\/p>\n<p>Judge White was told two undercover Revenue officers entered the premises on June 20, 2025 and ordered a soda and whiskey.
