You weren\u2019t meant to see this. Now you can\u2019t look away. A brand new take on the infamous classic from the 1970s, Faces of Death is being unleashed in theaters on April 10, 2026.<\/p>\n

The meta remake of the notorious 1978 faux documentary will open in theaters on\u00a0April 10\u00a0from Independent Film Company and Shudder. Check out the official poster below.<\/p>\n

Daniel Goldhaber\u00a0(Cam) directs from a script he co-wrote with\u00a0Isa Mazzei\u00a0(Cam).<\/p>\n

Continuing the exploration of the original film\u2019s infamous \u2018Is it real or not?\u2019 conceit,\u00a0Barbie Ferreira\u00a0(\u201cEuphoria\u201d) stars as a woman working as a content moderator for a major video platform who discovers what appears to be re-enactments of murders from\u00a0Faces of Death.<\/p>\n

In an online world where nothing can be trusted, she must determine whether the violence is fiction or unfolding in real time.<\/p>\n

Dacre Montgomery\u00a0(\u201cStranger Things\u201d),\u00a0Josie Totah\u00a0(\u201cSaved by the Bell\u201d),\u00a0Jermaine Fowler\u00a0(Sorry to Bother You),\u00a0Aaron Holliday\u00a0(Cocaine Bear), and Charli XCX also star.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrowing up in a video store culture there are vivid memories of being terrified to even touch the original\u00a0Faces of Death VHS box,\u201d said RLJE acquisition officer Mark Ward. \u201cThat legend haunted a generation, and bringing that fear back to audiences now is both deeply personal and an exciting full-circle moment. We\u2019re in awe of Daniel Goldhaber\u2019s reimagining.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faces of Death is rated R for \u201cstrong bloody violence and gore, sexual content, nudity, language, and drug use.\u201d Watch the previously released teaser and expect the trailer soon.<\/p>\n
