These days, Christina Applegate<\/a> is used to talking about the worst parts of life. The actress, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis<\/a> in 2021, is releasing a memoir called You With the Sad Eyes on March 3. \u201cMy life isn\u2019t wrapped up with a bow,\u201d Applegate tells People<\/a> in a new interview. \u201cPeople\u2019s lives, sorry for lack of a better term, fucking suck sometimes. So I\u2019m being as honest and raw as I possibly can.\u201d Applegate grew up with \u201csingle moms, men coming in and out, drugs,\u201d before becoming a star as a teenager on Married\u2026 with Children. As an adult, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and then MS, all of which she writes about in the memoir. \u201cWe all have come from somewhere, some places more painful than others, and it\u2019s what you do with it, I guess,\u201d she says. \u201cThis is not an inspirational book, by any means. But it can inspire.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, after saying she will likely not work on-camera again<\/a>, Applegate has to set direct goals for herself, and basic routines are hard. Every morning, she forces herself to get out of bed and take her daughter to school, even though it leaves her in physical pain. \u201cI want to take her; it\u2019s my favorite thing to do. It\u2019s the only time we have together by ourselves,\u201d Applegate says. \u201cI tell myself, \u2018Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.\u2019 And that\u2019s what I do.\u201d It may suck, but she does it.<\/p>\n
