The makers of The Kerala Story 2<\/a> have clarified that the teaser of their upcoming movie is not being deleted from social media platforms. On Tuesday, Sunshine Pictures issued an official statement and called all such reports \u201cfalse and baseless”.<\/p>\n \u201cSunshine Pictures would like to categorically clarify that the news currently circulating regarding the removal of \u2018The Kerala Story 2 \u2013 Goes Beyond\u2019 teaser is completely false, baseless, and misleading. The matter is presently sub judice. No judgment or order has been passed by any court directing the removal of any content. We have not deleted or taken down any material,” the statement said.<\/p>\n \u201cBoth the teaser and the trailer of \u2018The Kerala Story 2 \u2013 Goes Beyond\u2019 continue to remain available across all our official platforms. We strongly urge media houses, digital platforms, and individuals to refrain from spreading unverified information and speculative reports. Such misinformation only creates unnecessary confusion,” it added.<\/p>\n For the unversed, The Kerala Story 2 has been facing backlash ever since the release of its teaser. Even a PIL has been filed against the movie, claiming its release might disrupt communal harmony. While the matter is still in court, recently, the producer, Vipul Amrutlal Shah,<\/a> reacted to the backlash the film has been facing.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re not after Kerala. Kerala is God\u2019s Country\u2026 We want this evil in that state to be eradicated as soon as possible,” Shah said, as quoted by NDTV and then added, \u201cSome people criticised the first film, claiming the 32,000 figure was false. We made a video on this figure on YouTube, which is currently available. We\u2019ve added the name and shown the figures.
