British police said that searches at \u2060Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s former home in southeast England had concluded after the former prince was arrested last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office.<\/p>\n
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest on Thursday was part of a police investigation into his ties with the late US sex offender \u200cJeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n
“Officers have \u2060now left the location we have been searching in Berkshire. This concludes the search activity that commenced following our arrest of a man in his sixties from Norfolk on Thursday,” \u200cThames Valley Police’s Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said in a statement last night.<\/p>\n
Documents \u2060in the Epstein files released by \u200cthe US Justice Department last month appeared to show \u2060that Mr Mountbatten-Windsor had sent confidential government documents to the disgraced financier while working as a trade envoy.<\/p>\n
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has always \u2060denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein, and said \u2060he regretted their friendship.<\/p>\n
Separately, London’s police said that they were contacting former protection officers who worked for the former prince, urging anyone with allegations of sex offences relating to Epstein to come forward.<\/p>\n
