As we\u2019ve covered<\/a> extensively<\/a> here at Billboard, Taylor Swift<\/a> makes a big move on the charts this week by topping<\/a> the Billboard Hot 100 dated Feb. 28 with her latest single, \u201cOpalite.\u201d The song jumps from No. 8 to No. 1, boosted by a surge in song sales \u2014 thanks to a variety of recently shipped new physical editions and new digitally released remixes from such producer\/DJs as Chris Lake and Skream \u2014\u00a0making it the second single from Swift\u2019s 2025 blockbuster The Life of a Showgirl to top Billboard\u2018s marquee songs chart.<\/p>\n

While scoring multiple No. 1 hits from the same album might not sound like a major accomplishment for a pop star on Taylor Swift\u2019s level, it\u2019s become a pretty rare feat in recent years. In the streaming era, where advance singles have become less common and it\u2019s harder than ever to push a single to the top of the charts following its release to DSPs \u2014\u00a0with listeners already familiar with the song before its official single release \u2014\u00a0even the biggest pop stars are struggling to score more than one No. 1 hit per album.<\/p>\n

Case in point: Swift herself. The biggest pop star of her generation went 11 years between multi-No. 1 albums, with the first (and until recently, only) time she\u2019d pulled off the feat coming with 1989 back in 2014-15. (That album had three No. 1s: \u201cShake It Off,\u201d \u201cBlank Space,\u201d and the Kendrick Lamar-featuring \u201cBad Blood.\u201d) Since then, Swift had scored nine Hot 100 No. 1s, but all of them had come from different albums, until \u201cOpalite\u201d followed Showgirl lead single (and 10-week No. 1<\/a>) \u201cThe Fate of Ophelia\u201d to the the top of the chart.<\/p>\n

With its second No. 1, Showgirl becomes just the 10th album of the 2020s to notch multiple Hot 100-toppers. See the complete list of albums that have done it this decade below, in chronological order of album release.<\/p>\n

The Weeknd, After Hours (2020)<\/p>\n

No. 1s: \u201cHeartless,\u201d \u201cBlinding Lights,\u201d \u201cSave Your Tears\u201d (with Ariana Grande)<\/p>\n

Notes: \u201cHeartless\u201d actually topped the Hot 100 in 2019, before the album\u2019s release. \u201cSave Your Tears\u201d was a solo track on the original After Hours, but added Ariana Grande during<\/a> the song\u2019s single release, with both versions of the song being counted together on the Billboard charts.<\/p>\n

BTS, Be (2020)<\/p>\n

No. 1s: \u201cDynamite,\u201d \u201cLife Goes On\u201d<\/p>\n

Notes: These are the only two of BTS\u2019 six Hot 100 No. 1s to date to appear on an official BTS album.<\/p>\n

Olivia Rodrigo, Sour (2021)<\/p>\n

No. 1s: \u201cDrivers License,\u201d \u201cGood 4 U\u201d<\/p>\n

Notes: Rodrigo became the first artist to score multiple No. 1s from a debut album since Cardi B did it with Invasion of Privacy (\u201cBodak Yellow (Money Moves)\u201d and \u201cI Like It\u201d with Bad Bunny and J Balvin) in 2018.<\/p>\n

Lil Nas X, Montero (2021)<\/p>\n

No. 1s: \u201cMontero (Call Me by Your Name),\u201d \u201cIndustry Baby\u201d (with Jack Harlow)<\/p>\n

Notes: Lil Nas X was the rare artist who called his own shot with his multi-No. 1 album, rapping on \u201cIndustry Baby\u201d: \u201cNeed to get this album done\/ Need a couple No. 1s.\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake, For All the Dogs (2023)<\/p>\n

No. 1s: \u201cSlime You Out\u201d (feat. SZA), \u201cFirst Person Shooter\u201d (feat. J. Cole)<\/p>\n

Notes: For All the Dogs became the second multi-No. 1 album of Drake\u2019s career, following 2018\u2019s Scorpion, which topped the Hot 100 with a trio of singles: \u201cGod\u2019s Plan,\u201d \u201cNice for What\u201d and \u201cIn My Feelings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ariana Grande, Eternal Sunshine (2024)<\/p>\n

No. 1s: \u201cYes, And?,\u201d \u201cWe Can\u2019t Be Your Friends (Wait for Your Love)\u201d<\/p>\n

Notes: Eternal Sunshine marked Grande\u2019s second career multi-No. 1 album, following 2019\u2019s Thank U, Next (title track and \u201c7 Rings\u201d).<\/p>\n

Kendrick Lamar, GNX (2024)<\/p>\n

Notes: GNX is a rare album on this list to push a second single to No. 1 months after its release, with \u201cLuther\u201d topping the Hot 100 for the first time in the weeks following Lamar and SZA\u2019s performance of it at Super Bowl LIX in February 2025.<\/p>\n

Morgan Wallen, I\u2019m the Problem (2025)<\/p>\n

No. 1s: \u201cLove Somebody,\u201d \u201cWhat I Want\u201d (feat. Tate McRae)<\/p>\n

Notes: This was one of the longest gaps in between No. 1s of any album on this list, with \u201cLove Somebody\u201d debuting at No. 1 in November 2024, nearly seven months before \u201cWhat I Want\u201d topped the chart following the Problem release week in May 2025.<\/p>\n

Cardi B, Am I the Drama? (2025)<\/p>\n

No. 1s: \u201cWAP\u201d (feat. Megan Thee Stallion), \u201cUp\u201d<\/p>\n

Notes: This was easily the longest gap for an album on this list in between songs hitting No. 1 and being included on the album, with \u201cWAP\u201d (featuring Megan Thee Stallion) and \u201cUp\u201d topping the chart in August 2020 and March 2021, respectively, years before finally being released on Drama, Cardi\u2019s 2025 sophomore album.<\/p>\n

Taylor Swift, The Life of a Showgirl (2025)<\/p>\n

No. 1s: \u201cThe Fate of Ophelia,\u201d \u201cOpalite\u201d<\/p>\n
