{"id":317645,"date":"2026-02-26T04:38:10","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T04:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/317645\/"},"modified":"2026-02-26T04:38:10","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T04:38:10","slug":"crucial-fixture-change-as-mayo-school-gear-up-for-all-ireland-semi-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/317645\/","title":{"rendered":"Crucial fixture change as Mayo school gear up for All-Ireland semi-final"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been confirmed that the All-Ireland &#8216;C&#8217; Schools semi-final between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayonews.ie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Mayo<\/a>&#8216;s Balla Secondary School and Carrigaline Community School of Cork has seen a change of throw-in time.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides will make their way to Clarecastle with eyes on making the decider of the race for the Eamonn O&#8217;Sullivan Cup.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayonews.ie\/news\/gaa\/2024227\/streaming-decision-made-as-st-gerald-s-fly-mayo-flag-in-hogan-cup-semis.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"Streaming decision made as St Gerald&#039;s fly Mayo flag in Hogan Cup semis\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/READ_MORE_button_(98)-1772035895248.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Balla punched their ticket to the last-four when they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayonews.ie\/news\/gaa\/2016742\/column-ballas-battle-in-the-blizzard-shows-schools-football-at-its-best.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\">triumphed over Gortnor Abbey, Crossmolina in the Connacht final<\/a>, while the Munster champions secured provincial honours when they edged Scoil na Trinoide by the bare minimum in a thriller in Banteer.<\/p>\n<p>Now, on Saturday, the team buses of each band of brothers will be bouncing along the roads to Clarecastle, a stone&#8217;s throw from Ennis, with eyes on the prize.<\/p>\n<p>However, they will have to leave a touch earlier than previously thought.<\/p>\n<p>The semi-final has been brought forward by an hour from the original throw-in time of 4 pm.
