The group called Legss from London said the theft occurred while they were parked on the corner of Gardiner Street Lower and Railway Street in Dublin 1, following a performance in the city.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed confirmed they received a report of an incident of theft that occurred in the Gardiner Street Lower area between approximately 2.30am and 9am on Sunday, February 22, 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cA number of musical instruments were reported as stolen from a vehicle. Investigations are ongoing,\u201d a Garda press office spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

In a statement shared on Instagram, the band said they were left with \u201cheavy and tired hearts\u201d after discovering the break-in.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with heavy and tired hearts that we share news that our van was broken into on Sunday morning in Dublin and many of our instruments were stolen,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all still in shock but wanted to post this to alert the good people of Dublin and Ireland to keep their eyes peeled for anything being sold online or in shops.\u201d<\/p>\n

They said the stolen equipment holds deep sentimental value, having been used throughout their career since forming in 2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese instruments, some of which we were also lending off close friends, are worth much more than their value, having been with us since we started the band in 2018. We have written, recorded and performed our entire output on these, and it\u2019s heartbreaking to lose them,\u201d the post read.<\/p>\n

Legss, have since reported the incident to An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na and said they were met with kindness and support during the process.<\/p>\n

Vocalist and guitarist Ned Green told the Irish Independent that they do not have an exact time that the theft happened but that they are \u201cunbelievably grateful for all the support and completely overwhelmed by the response so far\u201d, noting that it \u201cmeans the world\u201d to the group as they attempt to recover their equipment.<\/p>\n

Among the key items reported stolen are several guitars and drum accessories, including a Fender Telecaster Butterscotch (Mexican), a Fender Vintera 60s Stratocaster Modified in Burgundy Mist Metallic, a pink Fender Squier Stratocaster, and a Fender Classic \u201960s Mustang Bass in ash wood.<\/p>\n

A pedalboard containing a digital delay, overdrive, TU-3 tuner and MXR Blue Box was also taken, along with a Protection Racket 22-inch cymbal case and multiple cymbals, including a 21-inch Bosphorus Traditional Thin Ride, an 18-inch Paiste 2002 Black Label Thin Crash, 14-inch Zildjian Avedis hi-hats and an 8-inch Paiste splash.<\/p>\n

The band said they are now following \u201call the standard procedures\u201d to try and retrieve the instruments, while also encouraging fellow touring musicians to take extra care when travelling between cities.<\/p>\n

They also thanked the Grand Social and bands they performed with during their first visit to Ireland, saying they had received a warm welcome despite the incident.<\/p>\n
