CeeLo Green<\/a> and Danger Mouse<\/a> have revived their Gnarls Barkley<\/a> alias for one more album. Atlanta is due out on March 6 on Atlantic<\/a>-affiliated imprint 10k Projects<\/a>; a lead single shared today (February 25), \u201cPictures,\u201d marks the pair\u2019s first new studio release in 18 years. \u201cPictures\u201d takes its inspiration from the many hours Green spent riding Atlanta\u2019s MARTA public transit system as a kid, he shared in a press statement. \u201cI had a middle school principal who,
every Friday, would tell me to go when I would get to school,\u201d he said in a press statement. \u201cI was in eighth grade and I would leave school and ride the train alone from 8 A.M. until 2:30 P.M.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Green and Danger Mouse haven\u2019t dropped a Gnarls Barkley record since 2008\u2019s The Odd Couple<\/a>, both have released music solo. Green shared his sixth studio album, CeeLo Green is Thomas Calloway, in 2020; it followed 2015\u2019s Heart Blanche and 2012\u2019s CeeLo\u2019s Magic Moment.<\/a> He also spent multiple years as a judge on The Voice, and appeared on tracks from Eminem<\/a>, Tyrese<\/a>, T.I.<\/a>, and Asher Roth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Danger Mouse, meanwhile, has spent the past near-decade rolling out collaborative albums with artists including Sparklehorse<\/a>, Daniele Luppi<\/a>, and Karen O<\/a>. Most recently, he shared the record Cheat Codes<\/a> with Black Thought<\/a> in 2022; he and MorMor<\/a> also linked up for a song, \u201cWonder<\/a>,\u201d in 2025.<\/p>\n
