\n\tSarah Michelle Gellar<\/a> paid tribute<\/a> to her Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Michelle Trachtenberg on the one-year anniversary of her death. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019m not sure how it\u2019s been a year,\u201d she wrote on Instagram. \u201cI\u2019m one of the lucky ones who has over 30 years of memories with you. From our first day on set together, to less than a year later, when you were already taller than me. But I first worked with [you] on All My Children. I watched you become a star with Harriet [The Spy].\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tTrachtenberg found early success on the Nickelodeon favorite\u00a0The Adventures of Pete & Pete\u00a0before joining the cast of\u00a0Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and later had memorable roles in shows like\u00a0Gossip Girl<\/a>\u00a0and the film,\u00a0EuroTrip.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cYou were great to my kids,\u201d Gellar added. \u201cCountless kids bdays you attended even though I\u2019m sure you had somewhere cooler to be. But most of all, when I think of you, that smile that took up your entire face and brought so much joy to others is what comes to mind. You may not have been with us long enough, but we will make sure everyone remembers.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\tTrachtenberg died<\/a> in Feb. 2025 at 39 years old, from complications<\/a> related to diabetes mellitus. At the time of her death, Gellar wrote<\/a>, \u201cMichelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you. The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live\u2026 for you.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tTrachtenberg<\/a> was also remembered<\/a> by her\u00a0Gossip Girl\u00a0co-star Leighton Meester<\/a>\u00a0following news of her death. In an interview for\u00a0Flaunt<\/a>, Meester discussed Trachtenberg, who played Georgina Sparks on the hit CW show. \u201cIt\u2019s devastating,\u201d she told the publication. \u201cShe was a wonderful, talented person, and everyone loved her.
