Fans were devastated when they learned that Kyle Fraser<\/a> was evacuated from Survivor 50<\/a> in the very first episode<\/a> due to a torn Achilles tendon<\/a>, but he’s not letting the setback keep him down! The Survivor<\/a> 48 winner shared an updates on his injury, recovery, and life outside the game on Feb. 26.<\/p>\n

“This injury only made me better. More to come,” he wrote on Instagram<\/a> beside a vlog of his progress. He also thanked his wife, doctor, and physical therapist “for getting me through this and the recovery.”<\/p>\n

“If you’re watching this, then you probably just saw me tear my Achilles on national television,” he says in the video. “But that’s okay, do not feel sorry for me! Let me show you everything that’s happened since then.”<\/p>\n

The clip reveals Fraser’s long road to recovery after his injury in June 2025, from having surgery to his ankle to not being able to walk for two months to undergoing physical therapy, using a came, learning how to walk and eventually run again, and getting “stronger than ever.”<\/p>\n

“It was tough, but I made the most out of life the entire time,” he concluded, showing himself meeting celebrities, traveling, hanging with his Survivor pals, and learning he was expecting baby No. 1<\/a> with his wife, Maggie Turner<\/a>, in May 2026.<\/p>\n

Fans and friends alike were inspired by the player’s strength and positive attitude<\/a>. “Thank you for the reminder of how to take a loss and turn it into another win. You\u2019re incredible,” said Survivor legend and recent Traitors player Rob Cesternino, while Frasers TV bestie Kamilla Karthigesu wrote, “Dude you are so insanely strong & disciplined to be able to recover that fast… So proud of you and I MEAN IT!”<\/p>\n

For her part, Fraser’s wife wrote, “So proud of you as always for the way you handled your injury, exit, and recovery-no one does optimism and positivity like you.” She also sweetly quoted Season 50 costar Christian Hubicki in the premiere, saying, “Someday our daughter will see this.”<\/p>\n

The couple announced the happy news that they were expecting baby No. 1 together in January<\/a> 2026, writing, \u201cBaby Fraser coming to you in May 2026 [sparkle emoji href=”https:\/\/parade.com\/living\/emoji-meanings”],\u201d beside\u00a0photos<\/a>\u00a0showing off the sonogram images with Turner.<\/p>\n

While he may have lost his chance at winning Survivor 50 too soon, the couple still has $1 million to start their family with: Fraser won Survivor 48 less than a year earlier!<\/p>\n
