Donald Trump claimed he was told by a police officer that the economy under Trump’s administration improved his sex life.<\/p>\n
The President visited Texas on Friday for his first post- State of the Union<\/a> trip, where he planned to promote his energy and economic policies. Trump used the opportunity to boast about the economic developments under his administration, echoing statements he made during the annual nationwide address on Tuesday night. This time, however, Trump went off script in a characteristically bizarre way.<\/a><\/p>\n “There’s this wonderful tough policeman from New York. He’s taken good care of us. He said ‘sir, it’s so good, my married life has gotten so much better.’ Why? ‘My wife thought I was a loser financially, I couldn’t make any money, because my 401k was dying for years.'”<\/p>\n “‘Now she thinks I’m the smartest financial genius ever. It’s made my sex life good, it’s made my life good, it’s given me a tremendous boost in life,'” Trump said quoting who he called, ‘a big tough cop.’<\/p>\n “My wife treated me like a dog, and now she admires my financial genius. And I haven’t done anything! Just a dirty old man fantasizing about a tough policeman having sex.”<\/p>\n @JohnnyVomits added, “I used to think he was just a little slow in the head but ain’t no way there is anything going on upstairs. Lights are on but no one is home.”<\/p>\n Others felt the president’s joke was harmless. @thematthew wrote, “Its called a joke. This man really drives you people nuts.”<\/p>\n This afternoon, Trump was joined by all three candidates in the competitive race, just days before his party casts ballots in the primary race.<\/p>\n Sen. John Cornyn is battling for his fifth term and is being challenged by state Attorney General Ken Paxton and Rep. Wesley Hunt in a primary fight that has become viciously personal. And all three men, missing the coveted endorsement from Trump, have been trying to highlight their ties to him as they ramp up their campaigning ahead of Tuesday\u2019s vote.<\/p>\n For his part, Trump is seeking to ride the message of his State of the Union address from Tuesday, in which he declared a return to economic prosperity and a more secure America \u2014 two central arguments for Republicans as they campaign to keep their congressional majorities this fall.<\/p>\n
