Garda\u00ed have issued a public appeal for any information that could help them locate a Cork<\/a> man who has been reported missing for over 24 hours. James Murphy was last seen in the Whitegate<\/a> area in the early hours of Friday morning.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old stands 6 feet tall, with a strong build, brown hair, a full beard, and blue\/grey eyes. It’s not known what James was wearing at the time of his disappearance, and he was last seen at 5 am yesterday.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed<\/a> and James’ family are concerned for his well-being, and anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the investigating officers.<\/p>\n

A Garda spokesperson said: “Garda\u00ed are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of James Murphy (40), who was reported missing from his home in Whitegate, Co. Cork, on Friday, 27th February 2026. James was last seen in Whitegate, Co. Cork, at approximately 5 am on Friday, 27th February 2026.<\/p>\n

“James is described as being six feet tall, of strong build, with brown hair and blue\/grey eyes. It is not known what James was wearing when last seen. Garda\u00ed and James\u2019s family are concerned for his well-being.”<\/p>\n

Anyone with information on James\u2019s whereabouts is asked to contact Midleton Garda Station on (021) 4621550, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed in Munster are also looking to trace the whereabouts of a Mohamed Chouihi,<\/a> who has been missing in Limerick for close to two weeks. The 29-year-old was reported missing on Sunday, 15th February. He was last seen the day before at approximately 1.30 pm on Mungret Street in Limerick city.<\/p>\n

Mohamed is described as being 6 feet 1 inch in height, with black hair and brown eyes. When last seen, Mohamed<\/a> was wearing black clothing. Garda\u00ed<\/a> and the missing man’s family are concerned for his well-being.<\/p>\n
