However, one young Clare designer has now changed that notion for good.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom0 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Hag&#8217;s Head is the name given to the most southerly point of the Cliffs of Moher, where an unusual rock formation is formed in the cliff, resembling a woman&#8217;s head looking out to sea. Local folklore says that the rock formed head belongs a witch named Mal, who was in love with the Irish hero C\u00fa Chulainn, who did not return her affections. It is said that as he escaped her, the witch tried to leap after him across the sea stacks but fell and was killed, with the rocks forming her head in memory of her.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Mich\u00e9al McInerney.
