ALL-IRELAND PPS \u2018B\u2019 CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL<\/p>\n<p>St Nathy\u2019s, Ballaghaderreen 3-18<\/p>\n<p>Mount St Michael, Rosscarberry 0-11<\/p>\n<p>In UL<\/p>\n<p>This was a successful semi-final statement for St Nathys of Ballaghaderreen.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it was efficiency in front of goal, bravery to shoot from nine different scorers, tigerish defending to dive on the ball, or swift counter-attacks, this was an exam these schoolboys passed with flying colours.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayonews.ie\/news\/gaa\/2025624\/lee-keegan-weighs-in-on-prospect-of-kobe-starting-for-mayo-in-championship.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"Lee Keegan weighs in on prospect of Kobe starting for Mayo in Championship\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/READ_MORE_button_-_2026-02-28T160945.595-1772295059068.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"537\" height=\"302\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mount St Michael of Rosscarberry gave their all in UL, but they were second-best to a first-class Connacht contingent.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Casey&#8217;s eight points will see him get the headlines, but he was far from the only exemplary baller on show.<\/p>\n<p>Sean Buckley ran the game from midfield, James Cassidy had defenders all over the shop, while Ryan O&#8217;Sullivan and Conor Moriarty were full value for their three-pointers in the first half, as was Declan Duffy in the second.<\/p>\n<p>Seamus Lane and company in the saffron and blue of Rosscarberry did keep the scoreline close, and only went in three down at half-time, but they had too many fires to fight.<\/p>\n<p>Ronan Hayes was top-drawer with six points also, but there was too little support around him, as two players accounted for all bar one of their scores.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, it is the Saints of Nathys, not Rosscarberry, who go marching on to a date with destiny (and Longford&#8217;s Cnoc Mhuire, Granard), with the Paddy Drummond Cup on the line.<\/p>\n<p>A full report, plus reaction, will be carried in Tuesday&#8217;s edition of The Mayo News.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayonews.ie\/section\/2900\/gaa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/GAA-1770480832238.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"462\" height=\"260\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>ADVERTISEMENT &#8211;
