RAYE<\/a> performed a new song, \u2018Nightingale Lane\u2019, at the 2026 BRIT Awards<\/a>. Watch below.<\/p>\n

The singer brought a full orchestra to the ceremony last night (February 28), where she was nominated for Song of the Year and Pop Act, for a lively rendition of her 2025 chart-topping single \u2018Where Is My Husband!<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

As she entered the final chorus, she brought the tempo to half-pace and told the crowd: \u201cThe next song we\u2019re gonna sing is about a man who didn\u2019t buy me a ring. It\u2019s such a shame, this song is called \u2018Nightingale Lane\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then launched into the ballad, singing: \u201cSomebody loved me once\/And someday, somebody will again\/Like the way you loved me\/On Nightingale Lane.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s one of the tracks from her upcoming album \u2018This Music May Contain Hope\u2019<\/a>, due on March 27, which she debuted back in January when she kicked off her tour in Poland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

RAYE\u2019s new album will be the long-awaited follow-up to her breakthrough, \u2018My 21st Century Blues<\/a>\u2019. The singer is currently on tour<\/a>\u00a0in celebration of the new release.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s confirmed that the tracklist will be set in four \u201cseasons\u201d, with each side of the vinyl release covering a different season.<\/p>\n

\u201cMusic is medicine, I\u2019ve always said that. I guess I\u2019m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world,\u201d she explained. \u201cI want us all to say to ourselves that it\u2019s going to be all right, and I\u2019m going to have faith in the seeds that I\u2019ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2024, the singer-songwriter announced that her second album would be delayed following the\u00a0theft of her car with her songwriting books inside<\/a>. She then revealed in October 2025 that\u00a0she had found her stolen car with her songwriting books \u201cuntouched\u201d, <\/a>meaning she could go back to working on it.<\/p>\n

\u2018Where Is My Husband!\u2019 became her second Number One in the UK and peaked at Number 13 in the US. It was\u00a0named as one of the best songs of 2025<\/a>\u00a0by NME, and was described as a \u201cjazzy, soul-pop bop\u201d that \u201cshowed off her formidable vocal chops with the help of a larger-than-life brass band\u201d.<\/p>\n

As for the BRITS, it was Olivia Dean<\/a> who ended up dominating this year, winning four awards, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
