\n\tJisoo<\/a>, the eldest member of K-pop supergroup Blackpink<\/a>, is dishing on her excitement about the group\u2019s long-awaited new album. <\/p>\n

\n\tDeadline, the group\u2019s first multi-track release in over three years, was released on Friday. The five-track EP features the previously release single, \u201cJump,\u201d which became a hit for the group over the summer. Deadline is led by the album\u2019s lead single, \u201cGo,\u201d a catchy three-minute powerful anthem. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBlackpink\u2019s 10th anniversary is this year,\u201d Jisoo told The Hollywood Reporter during press for her new K-drama Boyfriend on Demand<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m so happy that we\u2019re releasing another album with such great songs this year,\u201d she continues. \u201cWe believe everyone will love our [new] music. I hope you enjoy it a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 31-year-old singer and actress, fresh off Blackpink\u2019s Deadline world tour, is returning to television in a new Netflix<\/a> K-drama, Boyfriend on Demand. Jisoo plays an \u201cexhausted webtoon producer\u201d who \u201cescapes reality through a subscription-based virtual dating simulation program, where she gets to experience the dates of her dream\u201d in the series. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThrough this character, Mi-rae, I was able to show multiple sides of myself,\u201d Jisoo tells THR. \u201cI\u2019m sure the Blinks (the group\u2019s fanbase) will love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe synopsis continues, \u201cBlending the relatable challenges of daily work life and a never-before-seen virtual reality dating subscription program, Boyfriend on Demand is a unique take on the romantic comedy series. Jisoo takes on the role of Seo Mi-rae, who longs for a second chance at love in virtual reality. Seo In-guk plays Park Kyeong-nam, Mi-rae\u2019s colleague and rival webtoon producer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the time since their last group release, Blackpink, comprised of members Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Ros\u00e9, has found immense success for their respective solo endeavors. In addition to Boyfriend on Demand, Jisoo put out a solo album, Amortage, in February 2025, embarked on a solo Asia tour and recently starred in another series, Newtopia. <\/p>\n

\n\tLisa made her acting debut on the hit HBO show, The White Lotus, and put out a solo album, Alter Ego, which she performed during her solo Coachella set last year. Jennie also performed a solo set at Coachella last year in support of her album, Ruby. <\/p>\n

\n\tRos\u00e9 found herself with an unstoppable top 40 hit in \u201cApt,\u201d earning the singer three Grammy nominations<\/a> and making her the first K-pop artist to score a general field nomination. She opened this year\u2019s Grammy ceremony<\/a> with a rocking rendition of the hit song. The 29-year-old described the possibility of that nomination \u201cas a moment that proves to myself so many things\u201d to herself during the singer\u2019s THR cover<\/a> story. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe group reunited last year for the Deadline world tour, a prelude to this album. The ground-breaking group hit stops across the world, including two sold-out nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. <\/p>\n

\n\tJisoo, whose show Boyfriend on Demand premieres March 6 on Netflix, has one final message for her beloved fans. \u201cPlease root for me,\u201d she says. \u201cI love you all.\u201d<\/p>\n
