\n\tJohn Oliver<\/a> addressed the harsh reality that he might be getting a new \u201cbusiness daddy\u201d soon with a bit about Paramount<\/a> Skydance\u2019s now-likely acquisition<\/a> of HBO parent company Warner Bros.<\/a> Discovery.<\/p>\n \n\tOn Sunday\u2019s episode of Last Week Tonight<\/a>, Oliver briefly addressed the news that Netflix \u2014 long in pole position to acquire Warner Bros. \u2014 had decided not to match Paramount\u2019s latest bid for the studio. Especially, given that we all know, that is Paramount+\u2019s job. Hey, what are they gonna do? Take us over and immediately cancel us?
