\"When Ameesha Patel<\/a> and Vikram Bhatt were in a relationship for five years after they worked together on ‘Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage’. The duo then broke up but the actress had once admitted that it was a biggest drawback of her career. Ameesha made her debut in the industry with ‘Kaho Naa..Pyaar Hai’ opposite Hrithik Roshan which was a huge success. Both Hrithik and Ameesha became stars overnight. But soon after, she started dating Vikram Bhatt and in an interview, she had admitted how it impacted her career. She had said during a chat with Bollywood Hungama, “In this industry, honesty is not welcome and I am someone, who is very honest. I am someone, who wears my heart on my sleeves. I think that has been the biggest drawback for me in my life. And definitely, the only two relationships that I ever had in public, the only two I ever had, they did take a beating on my career. For 12-13 years, I was like, ‘No men. Only peace. I want nothing else in my life’.”<\/p>\n

See, a heroine dating a hero can still do films with the hero and continue getting work. For me, that was not the case. So, it does take a beating but you learn from it.”Meanwhile, when they were dating, Vikram Bhatt had once said, “At this point of time she\u2019s chasing her career, and I\u2019m chasing her. I\u2019m ready whenever she is. This relationship is for keeps. But I don\u2019t want to say much. In the past I\u2019ve been terribly hurt after taking a relationship to my heart.\u201dMany years later after their break-up, during a chat with HT Brunch, Vikram had spoken about his past relationships with Sushmita Sen and then Ameesha Patel.
