\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Vertical<\/a> has acquired North American rights to Couture<\/a>, a fashion-world drama starring Angelina Jolie<\/a> (Maria) and Louis Garrel<\/a> (Little Women) that world premiered at TIFF 2025, for release in theaters later this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe latest film from Alice Winocour<\/a>, a C\u00e9sar-nominated writer and director known for projects like Paris Memories and Proxima, Couture is set during the frenzy of Paris Fashion Week, where three women\u2019s lives intersect: Maxine (Jolie), a filmmaker who discovers she has breast cancer and is drawn into a love story with a familiar collaborator (Garrel); Ada (newcomer Anyier Anei), a fresh face in modeling, escaping a predetermined future back home in South Sudan; and Ang\u00e8le (Raw\u2018s Ella Rumpf), a makeup artist working in the shadows of the catwalks. As their paths cross, the film reveals the resilience beneath the surface of public performance and honors the solidarity shared among these women across professions, cultures, and continents.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCouture is a film about women\u2019s bodies. It tells women who bear scars that we can be stronger by sharing our wounds,\u201d said Winocour. \u201cThere is also something deeply political, for me, in telling the story of a collective rather than an individual destiny \u2013 I wanted to restore depth and complexity to women across generations and backgrounds, beyond the superficial images we\u2019re so often given. I\u2019m grateful to Vertical for championing the film and for helping these women\u2019s stories resonate across cultures and borders.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSaid Vertical Partner Peter Jarowey, \u201cAngelina\u2019s role in Couture is delivered with quiet intensity that is both intimate and deeply personal. This is brave filmmaking at its finest; Vertical is proud to be releasing another feature from Alice, following Proxima\u2018s debut in 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCouture also stars Garance Marillier (Titane), Finnegan Oldfield (Alpha), and Vincent Lindon (The Measure of a Man). The film was produced by Charles Gillibert of CG Cin\u00e9ma, Zhang Xin of Closer Media, William Horberg, and Jolie, and was executive produced by Bob Xu, Benjamin Hess, and Luc Bricault.
