What are the Peaky Blinders movie reviews saying? <\/p>\n

On Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, the new movie, titled Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, debuted to a stellar 93% score. The score would be one of Cillian Murphy\u2019s highest for a film. Among the praise for the movie, many highlight Murphy\u2019s performance, as well as how excellently the movie continues the story of Tommy Shelby from the Netflix series.<\/p>\n

Guardian\u2019s Peter Bradshaw <\/a>called the movie a \u201cresoundingly confident drama,\u201d while TheWrap\u2019s Chase Hutchinson<\/a> said the movie\u2019s \u201cclosing frames prove to be a fitting sendoff for him as well as his long, sad saga. For what could very well be the last time, he and Murphy burn bright.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Daily Beast\u2019s Nick Schager<\/a> echoed the sentiments, calling the movie \u201ca rousing elegy to an underworld saga par excellence and, in particular, to a ruthless and tormented gangster whom, in Murphy\u2019s expert hands, stands as an undisputed crime-fiction icon.\u201d <\/p>\n

Consequence\u2019s Liz Shannon Miller<\/a> also said the movie \u201ccaptures what made the original series so watchable: The grand scope of history as seen from the ground, the daily grind of crime in sharp contrast to world events, and the everyday men and women just trying to survive it all.\u201d Variety\u2019s Guy Lodge<\/a> also said the movie \u201cserves as a handsome reminder of what always felt quite cinematic about the series \u2014 both in its beefy-but-pulpy storytelling and its robust, well-patinated production values.\u201d <\/p>\n

Murphy reprises his role as Tommy Shelby in the film, while the cast also includes\u00a0Rebecca Ferguson<\/a>,\u00a0Tim Roth<\/a>, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, Jay Lycurgo,\u00a0Barry Keoghan<\/a>, and\u00a0Stephen Graham<\/a>.
