The first residents have moved into the new Oscar Traynor Woods development in Dublin<\/a> 17, with further affordable home applications now open.<\/p>\n Lord Mayor Councillor Ray McAdam and Minister for Housing James Browne officially launched this scheme’s first cost rental and social homes in the Coyne Woods area this morning. With 64 new homes which includes 24 social, 24 cost rental and 16 affordable purchase homes, this includes two studio apartments, 12 two-bed houses, 42 three-bed houses, four four-bed houses and four one-bed triplex homes.<\/p>\n Delivered in partnership with Glenveagh and Cl\u00faid, the mixed tenure site in Coolock is being delivered in phases. It will include new parks, community spaces, a multi-use games area and a number of retail and commercial spaces, which Lord Mayor McAdam stated aims to promote a sense of community.<\/p>\n \u201cOscar Traynor Woods is not just bricks and mortar, it\u2019s about building a community. Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for Dublin, where quality housing is matched with green spaces and amenities. I want to commend Dublin City Council<\/a>, Cl\u00faid, and Glenveagh for their collaboration. Together, we are creating a neighbourhood that reflects the ambition and resilience of this city,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Minister Browne explained that they will be delivering over 800 homes<\/a> at Oscar Taynor Woods across social, affordable, and cost rental. \u201cMy priority remains accelerating housing delivery nationwide, and this project sets a benchmark for how we can do that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Chief Executive Officer with Cl\u00faid Averil Power stated they are endeavouring to provide homes \u201cto people who would otherwise struggle in the private rental market.\u201d She said that social and cost rental tenants will also benefit from Cl\u00faid’s \u201cmaintenance, tenant support and community engagement services.\u201d<\/p>\n The first affordable purchase home owners are expected to move in the coming weeks. Dublin City Council are also currently accepting applications for the next phase of 57 affordable homes to be delivered later in 2026.<\/p>\n This release comprises 16 one-bedroom maisonettes, 9 two-bedroom maisonettes, 9 two-bedroom duplexes, 9 three-bedroom duplexes, 2 two-bedroom houses and 12 three-bedroom houses. These will be efforts at an average discount of 24% to the open market value, with prices depending on how much the buyers earn:<\/p>\n One-bedroom maisonettes will cost between \u20ac254k and \u20ac308k. The salary range (single or combined) is \u20ac57k to \u20ac69k;Two-bedroom maisonettes & duplexes will cost between \u20ac312k and \u20ac403k. The salary range (single or combined) is \u20ac70k to \u20ac91k;Three-bedroom duplexes will cost between \u20ac352k and \u20ac427k. The salary range (single or combined) is \u20ac79k to \u20ac96k;Two-bedroom houses will cost between \u20ac325k and \u20ac427k. The salary range (single or combined) is \u20ac73k to \u20ac96k;Three-bedroom houses will cost between \u20ac357k and \u20ac475k. The salary range (single or combined) is \u20ac80k to \u20ac106k.Households on lower incomes, who have additional savings, may also be eligible to apply.<\/p>\n Applications will be accepted exclusively online until 12 noon on 18 March 2026 at www.affordablehomes.dublincity.ie<\/a>.
