Danny Mullins was stood down for the day after suffering a fall at Thurles on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The multiple Grade 1-winning rider, a nephew of Irish and British champion trainer Willie Mullins<\/a>, was partnering Fancy Girl for his uncle in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase, the opening race on the card.<\/p>\n

The eight-year-old suffered a nasty looking fall at the seventh fence, the first in the back straight, in the 2m2f contest and brought down Stormalong and Darragh O’Keeffe.<\/p>\n

Fancy Girl’s stablemate Karamoja, who was sent off the 5-4 favourite under Paul Townend<\/a>, went on to win the race, coming home 12 lengths ahead of the Gordon Elliott-trained<\/a> runner-up Neon Diamond.<\/p>\n

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board confirmed shortly after the race that Danny Mullins had been stood down for the day as a result of the fall.<\/p>\n
