{"id":333230,"date":"2026-03-07T04:51:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T04:51:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/333230\/"},"modified":"2026-03-07T04:51:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T04:51:07","slug":"steam-machine-may-be-delayed-after-all-still-shipping-in-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/333230\/","title":{"rendered":"Steam Machine May Be Delayed After All\u2014Still Shipping in 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Valve&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techpowerup.com\/342866\/valve-announces-steam-machine-steam-frame-and-steam-controller?cp=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">announcement of the Steam Machine<\/a> has generated a lot of excitement amongst PC gamers and apparently more than a little <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techpowerup.com\/347019\/steam-machine-may-be-to-blame-for-playstation-pc-port-abandonment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">consternation in the ranks of traditional console makers<\/a>, although the recent announcement that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techpowerup.com\/345989\/valve-steam-machine-and-frame-hit-by-memory-crisis?cp=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">pricing for the upcoming living room PC is delayed<\/a> due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techpowerup.com\/344514\/ram-crisis-may-result-in-next-gen-console-delay\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">RAM shortage<\/a> has poured a bit of cold water on things. Adding to that disappointment, Valve recently softened its promise to deliver the Steam Machine and Valve Index in &#8220;early 2026&#8221; as it had initially promised. <\/p>\n<p>In a recent Steam Year In Review news post, Valve says that &#8220;We shared recently that there have been challenges with memory and storage shortages, but we will be shipping all three products this year. More updates will be shared as we finalize our plans.&#8221; Notably, however, this previously read &#8220;We hope to ship in 2026, but as we shared recently, memory and storage shortages have created challenges for us,&#8221; according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/videocardz.com\/newz\/valve-no-longer-promises-early-2026-for-steam-mac\" target=\"_blank\">VideoCardz<\/a>, but the verbiage has since been changed.
