Savages<\/a> vocalist Jehnny Beth<\/a> has teamed up with one of her biggest influences, Mike Patton<\/a>, on her new single, \u201cLook at Me.\u201d Stream it below.<\/p>\n

A contrast in styles, \u201cLook at Me\u201d finds\u00a0Beth switching between whisper-like singing and visceral, chanted vocals more in line with Patton\u2019s own contributions. The percussion and bassline are similarly aggressive, topped by a heavy guitar riff.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Beth revealed the track is about \u201cthe modern sellers of truth, who share their opinion online on how to \u2018better oneself,\u2019 giving an illusion of control \u2014 but all they really want is to be the centre of attention.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patton was a major influence on Beth during the recording of her latest album, 2025\u2019s You Heartbreaker, You<\/a>. As a result, he was top of\u00a0mind when Beth and Johnny Hostile had the idea of writing \u201cLook At Me\u201d in two parts.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Mike sent his vocals it was like choosing candy in a candy store, he had a million ideas, it was mind blowing,\u201d Beth recalled.<\/p>\n

The self-directed music video was inspired by Martin Scorsese\u2019s Taxi Driver, with Beth embodying Robert De Niro\u2019s role as a \u201clonely outcast who doesn\u2019t have a place in the world\u201d and Patton playing a preacher who changes her outlook on life before the two characters merge at the end.<\/p>\n

Beth has lined up a series of dates in Europe, the UK, and Ireland in support of You Heartbreaker, You. She\u2019s also set to open for Deftones in Mexico City on March 29th.\u00a0See the schedule below, and get tickets here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
