{"id":334824,"date":"2026-03-08T04:00:36","date_gmt":"2026-03-08T04:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/334824\/"},"modified":"2026-03-08T04:00:36","modified_gmt":"2026-03-08T04:00:36","slug":"american-pie-5-unlikely-says-stifler-actor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/334824\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;American Pie 5&#8221; Unlikely Says Stifler Actor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/american-pie-5-unlikely-says-stifler-actor.jpg\" data-caption=\"Disney\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/american-pie-5-unlikely-says-stifler-actor.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"american-pie-5-unlikely-says-stifler-actor\"\/><\/a>Disney<\/p>\n<p>Seann William Scott quickly rose to fame with the 1999 comedy feature \u201cAmerican Pie\u201d as the scene-stealing, arrogant but ultimately lovable idiot\/bully Steve Stifler.<\/p>\n<p>Along with a quickly blossoming film career, he took on the role three more times in 2001\u2019s \u201cAmerican Pie 2\u201d, 2003\u2019s \u201cAmerican Wedding\u201d and 2012\u2019s \u201cAmerican Reunion,\u201d but otherwise hasn\u2019t returned to the franchise \u2013 including the five direct-to-video \u2018Presents\u2019 films.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/movies\/features\/2103429-seann-william-scott-dolly-interview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ComingSoon<\/a> in a recent interview for his upcoming horror film \u201cDolly,\u201d the actor was asked for his take on recent comments by Jason Biggs saying he\u2019s open to returning for a fifth film.<\/p>\n<p>Biggs was out promoting his directorial debut \u201cUntitled Home Invasion Romance\u201d at the time and was asked about potentially not just starring in but directing another \u201cAmerican Pie\u201d.  Scott said he\u2019s open to reprising his role, but doesn\u2019t think it will ever happen:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor sure. I haven\u2019t seen his [Jason\u2019s] movie yet. It looks amazing. The reviews were incredible. I\u2019m not surprised that he\u2019s a great director. He\u2019s so smart, even from the beginning. You could just tell he\u2019s such a star. But yeah, of course, with Biggs directing, that would be amazing. I think it would be really fun to get everybody together. I don\u2019t think it\u2019ll ever happen, but it\u2019s fun to think about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked why he thinks it won\u2019t happen, he cites the lack of R-rated comedies in the theatrical space as the main issue:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know. Maybe it\u2019ll take a couple of R-rated comedies to work and be a success.
