The search for a man missing from Dublin<\/a> for over a week has been stood down following the discovery of a body, gardai have confirmed.<\/p>\n Mark Farnham, aged 63, was reported missing from his home in Rathcoole <\/a>on Friday, February 27.<\/p>\n Gardai <\/a>launched a public appeal shortly after his disappearance, describing Mark as being 5′ 10″ tall, with grey\/silver hair and blue eyes.<\/p>\n They added that he was wearing a green\/dark jacket, outdoor trousers, brown hiking boots and a backpack when he was last seen.<\/p>\n Officers said both his family and gardai were concerned for his wellbeing. At the time, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Mark Farnham (63) who was reported missing<\/a> from his home in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin since Friday, 27th February 2026.<\/p>\n “Mark was last seen in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin on the afternoon of Friday, 27th February 2026. Mark is described as being 5 feet 10 inches in height, with grey\/silver hair and blue eyes. When last seen Mark was wearing a green\/dark jacket, outdoor trousers, brown hiking boots and a backpack.<\/p>\n “Gardai and Mark’s family are concerned for his well-being. Anyone with information on Mark\u2019s whereabouts is asked to contact Clondalkin Garda Station on (01) 666 7600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 66 6 111, or any Garda Station.”<\/p>\n In a heartbreaking update this afternoon, gardai confirmed that the missing persons appeal has been stood down following the discovery of a body. They thanked the public for their help.<\/p>\n A Garda spokesperson<\/a> said: “Following the discovery of a man’s body, the missing person appeal in respect of Mark Farnham (63) who was reported missing from his home in Rathcoole, Co.
