<\/p>\nDublin based food reviewer Paul_IsItWorthIt ventered out to Dundrum Town Centre to try Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant which has been a mainstay in the area since 2012<\/p>\n

A content creator visited Jamie\u2019s Italian in Dundrum Town Centre<\/a> \u2014 but it wasn\u2019t the food<\/a> that let him down.<\/p>\n The YouTuber, known as Paul_IsItWorthIt<\/a>, enjoyed a three-course meal at Jamie Oliver\u2019s<\/a> restaurant, but the prices floored him as soon as he took his seat to scan the menu.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cThe prices are\u2026 John (cameraman) and I had a discussion here. I think they\u2019re a bit on the high side.\u201d John meanwhile claimed they were \u201crobbery\u201d prices but that it was to be expected given they were in Dundrum.<\/p>\n Paul meanwhile ordered tomato bruschetta for starters which set him back \u20ac9.95 \u2014 and he said it was a \u201ctremendous dish\u201d. He explained: \u201cYou\u2019re getting the freshness of the tomato paste first and the creamy cheese and then that tomato just bursts in your mouth, so ripe, the flavour hits you.\u201d<\/p>\n Paul ordered the lasagne for his main course, despite raising eyebrows regarding the cost of almost \u20ac25. After it arrived, he said it was like no lasagne he had ever seen in his life, before John pointed out that they might just be uncultured.<\/p>\n The tomato bruschetta dish (Image: Paul_IsItWorthIt\/Instagram)<\/p>\n He also got a side of chips where it was \u20ac1.50 extra to get some parmesan on top \u2014 prompting him to say he \u201chated\u201d when restaurants did that.<\/p>\n However, as for the lasagne, he said: \u201cThat\u2019s pretty incredible. The one thing I am noticing with this place is the quality of the ingredients they are using is fantastic. That tomato sauce, my god, I could almost drink that tomato sauce.\u201d<\/p>\n But sizing up his plate, he asked: \u201cIs that a small portion? Yeah, it would strike me as a small portion. It\u2019s pretty small.\u201d<\/p>\n Paul also tried a slice of his pal\u2019s spicy pepperoni pizza and again praised the food at the restaurant.<\/p>\n The lasagne at Jamie’s Italian (Image: Paul_IsItWorthIt\/Instagram)<\/p>\n For dessert, he ordered a chocolate brownie for \u20ac10.95, and he described it as the \u201cmost expensive brownie\u201d he has ever had.<\/p>\n Commenting on it, John replied: \u201cIt\u2019s \u20ac10! That is insane. That\u2019s a frowny, like I\u2019m fuming.\u201d<\/p>\n After the meal, Paul, who calls himself \u201cIreland\u2019s most honest food reviewer\u201d, offered some concluding thoughts.<\/p>\n Glancing at the bill in his hand, which came to \u20ac66.85, he started with the cost, and said: \u201cNow, I think it is high, it is a high price, I really do.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are certain prices there, like lasagne, \u20ac24? If that was \u20ac20 I\u2019d be really happy with it. The bruschetta, \u20ac9.95? If that was \u20ac7.95, even \u20ac8.95, even just a euro less. But \u20ac9.95 is a lot for one piece of bread with a bit of cheese and four tomatoes.\u201d<\/p>\n Looks good to us! On the pricey end of things I would give it a four out of 10 for the price. It is expensive.<\/p>\n \u201cWould I go there on a date or something? Yeah I probably would, I think it is a good spot.
