Ireland<\/a> is set to be battered by strong and gusty southwesterly winds in the coming days as Met \u00c9ireann has issued weather warnings for the entire country.<\/p>\n

Today and tomorrow, wind warnings are in place for\u00a0Donegal, Galway, Mayo with difficult travelling conditions, debris, loose object displaced and\u00a0fallen branches or trees possible.\u00a0The warning is in place until 5am on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, all of Ireland is placed under a Yellow Wind Warning until 6pm on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Met \u00c9ireann has warned of a mobile Atlantic regime will bring rain or showers each day. High winds at times too, with a transition to cooler air later Thursday. Some wintry showers and thunderstorms into Friday.<\/p>\n

Persistent rain continuing to clear eastwards through the evening, with a mix of clear spells and scattered showers following from the west. Breezy too, with fresh and gusty south to southwest winds, stronger in the west and northwest.<\/p>\n

Dry and bright for most tomorrow with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. However, cloud will build from the west towards evening. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees, with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds.<\/p>\n

Becoming windy Wedneaday night with showery outbreaks of rain developing, heaviest for northwest counties. Southwesterly winds will increase fresh to strong and gusty too. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees.<\/p>\n

Thursday<\/p>\n

Wet and windy with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, along with fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees. Some hail and lightning will occur later also.<\/p>\n

Cold with scattered blustery wintry showers Thursday night, mainly affecting Atlantic counties. Some lying snow is possible across some west and northwest areas. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly wind.<\/p>\n

Friday<\/p>\n

Rather cold and breezy with sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers will fall as sleet and possibly snow at times early on. Highest temperatures of just 5 to 8 degrees in fresh and gusty westerly winds, making for an added wind chill factor.<\/p>\n

Saturday<\/p>\n

Generally cloudy with patchy drizzle and drizzle. Some hill, mist and coastal fog also. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in moderate southerly winds.<\/p>\n

Sunday<\/p>\n

A cool day on Sunday with blustery showers, wintry in places with local hail.<\/p>\n
