{"id":340355,"date":"2026-03-11T10:35:13","date_gmt":"2026-03-11T10:35:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/340355\/"},"modified":"2026-03-11T10:35:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T10:35:13","slug":"johnny-ronan-group-agrees-deal-with-staycity-for-boutique-hotel-in-dublin-docklands-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/340355\/","title":{"rendered":"Johnny Ronan group agrees deal with Staycity for boutique hotel in Dublin docklands \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/johnny-ronan\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/johnny-ronan\">Johnny Ronan\u2019s<\/a> Ronan Group Real Estate (RGRE) has agreed a deal with aparthotel operator Staycity Group to deliver a new boutique hotel at Waterfront South Central, the large mixed-use scheme the developer is in the process of completing in Dublin\u2019s north docklands. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">A planning application for the hotel will be submitted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dublin-city-council\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dublin-city-council\/\">Dublin City Council<\/a> shortly and a decision is expected in the second quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Should it get the go-ahead, the 288-room hotel will trade under Staycity\u2019s Wilde brand and sit alongside the new European headquarters of global banking giant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/citi\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/citi\/\">Citi<\/a>. Upon completion, the bank\u2019s new offices will comprise 12 storeys including a triple basement and will provide 459,000sq ft of state-of-the-art commercial space. Waterfront South Central is also set to include a range of other commercial buildings and 550 residential units on its 4.6-acre site. The deal between RGRE and Staycity Group for the scheme\u2019s hotel has been structured as a 35-year lease. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Founded and headquartered in Dublin, Staycity Group is Europe\u2019s largest and fastest\u2011growing aparthotel operator, with 6,500 apartments across 20 cities. Its Wilde brand combines boutique design with the flexibility and amenities of apartment\u2011style accommodation, appealing to both corporate travellers and extended\u2011stay guests. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Commenting on the announcement, James Ronan, director at RGRE, said: \u201cWe are delighted to partner with Staycity to bring the Wilde brand to Ireland for the first time. This aparthotel will make a significant contribution to the north docklands and reinforce the mixed\u2011use vibrancy of Ronan Group\u2019s Waterfront development.
